CWC being a knowledge-driven and professionally managed organization always envisaged targeted expertise development and support to Dam Safety Organizations at central (CDSO) and State (SDSOs) levels to become competent organizations that can take the lead in ensuring that dams remain safe from structural and operational point of view. Capacity building of officials across different directorates in CWC through development of appropriate skills and to assist them with modern tools is critical for adequately designing and analyzing dams, tunnels, carven and other pertinent structures.

Currently under the ongoing Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement Project (DRIP), as a part of institutional strengthening procured for various design and analysis software i.e. (Abaqus, Geo-Studio, RoC Science, Plaxis, FLAC and Bentley for STAAD.Pro etc.) for addressing the complex Structural, Geo-technical and rock mechanics scenarios. The lists of softwares procured from M/s Dassault Systèmes and M/s RoC Science by SMD directorate of CWC are listed with brief details of their application.
